Two major world-class neutron sources - research reactor JRR-3 and J-PARC (Japan Proton Accelerator Research Complex) – are located in Tokai Village, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. Both facilities are widely open to users both from academia and industry.

JRR-3
JRR-3 calls for proposals twice a year (May and November). Any special circumstances exist、JRR-3 also accepts fast track Proposal. The entire process from submission of proposals to submission of reports after the experiment can be done from our online system( JRR-3 RING system).

J-PARC
J-PARC MLF(Materials and Life Science Experimental Facility) is soliciting General Use Proposals (Short-term and One year*) twice a year in May and November*. The entire process from submission of proposals to submission of reports after the experiment can be done from our online system. *MLF also accepts other types of proposals: General Use Proposals (Long-term), Fast Track Proposal and Urgent Access. *The schedule of the Call for Proposals is subject to change.
